Why isn't Shaquille O'Neal as bitter about his college experience as Ben? He would have been drafted the same out of high school. I've never heard him say anything but great things about his experience here, though.

Weird

Because he was here 3 years, won some games, and got actual coaching.

Underclassmen weren't leaving then and they weren't really drafting them. 1 So. got drafted in the '89 draft and Shawn Kemp was the only freshman, and he only left because he couldn't get qualified.

Better coach

Better teams

Better experience

Simmons didn’t learn anything here. People shite all over Johnny Jones for being an idiot who didn’t coach and also Simmons for saying he didn’t learn anything from the idiot who didn’t coach.

Well Shaq learned from Dale Brown, I doubt anyone learned anything from Johnny Jones.

His head coach wasn't utterly atrocious?

Because Shaq independently valued a college education. He played here and did well while he was here. He also left early and went pro. But the difference came when Shaq came back during the off season and earned his degree. To Shaq there is intrinsic value in education. Ben Simmons obviously doesn't see it that way.

Shaq came back and got a degree. He loves LSU. The other guy is simply a basketball player playing for himself and nobody else.

Shaq promised his mom he'd finish college. I think it was parental influence that kept him at LSU for those 3 years.

Because Shaq had parents who expected him to be more than just a basketball player. Shaq is in another realm compared to anything Ben Simmons will ever be.

Shaq is far above Ben in class and attitude. Ben has always been about Ben and nothing else. His time at LSU was a waste of LSU's time also.

That is a simple answer...Shaq was at LSU for 3 years and he is from a different generation(Gen Xer), when it was not always about me(Millennials).
