If we win out we’re in the playoff.

What criteria did they outline tonight?

Player injuries
(re: Kelly Bryant & Clemson)
LSU has been played with a tattered D-Line almost all year and Arden is just now getting into shape.

Wins
Auburn. Syracuse looks better. Opportunities for Alabama, A&M and Georgia.

What have you done lately?
Biggest question for LSU coming in was how much would the committee punish them for Troy. Turns out not that much. They’ve taken the losses into a context of the season as a whole like they did with their inclusion of injuries into their formula. New coach, new OC, injuries to DL, Arden, Guice. Since we’re 3-0 with our last 7 quarters outscoring AUB & OM 67-27. Derrius, Arden & our DL are back now.

Upvote sir

I agree.. We win out, and we are definitely in.. Beating #1 AND #2 including the SEC Championship game leaves nothing to chance.. Now will that happen? Wouldn’t bet a dime on it but I’m gonna ride reguardless

I love the enthusiasm on the board but I'm just over here praying my +21.5 holds up

Pretty insightful, actually. I was really surprised at some of the ranks, tbh.

But, I agree. Win and in.

If we win out, a one loss Alabama is in the playoff, not SEC Champion LSU.

Hell, they will take a 1 loss Bama AND a 1 loss Georgia before they take a team that has 2 losses, one of which was at home to Troy.

Yes it would suck and when t happens it would perfectly reasonable to call the integrity if the playoff into question.

But we are not getting in. Period.
If we win out just be happy with being SEC champions. That’s the most we could possibly get this year.

I don't disagree with your assessment with one exception.

"win out and we are in the playoff". Maybe. LSU will need a lot of help. Im not saying it could never happen but a 2-loss team with one of those being to Troy would be a tough sell to the committee. I realize it would mean several good wins but thats a lot to overcome.

Hearing Spears on SEC network has me doubting it. He doesn't think Auburn gets in if they win out, beat Bama and Georgia twice. If that's the case, we surely won't get in by winning out. I think we would make a case if that were to happen though. We would have to have things fall into place like 2007.

instead of wasting so much energy on all the what-ifs, why not just wait until the season is over and it will be more clear. I've never undetstood the if, if, if nonsense when there's shitload of games left to play. And I'm pulling for my Tigers, but I'm afraid none of it will matter after Saturday anyway.

In 2007,we needed a ton of help when we had 2 losses to make the top 2.We got in and we won it all. Also, that win over Auburn will be huge especially if they beat bama.if Auburn loses to georgia and beats bama and we win out,we are gonna be considered.A couple upsets in the the conference title games could be enough

If they take injuries into account, I wonder if they consider freshmen playing also. With 8 true freshmen starting at different time through 8 games and 20 TF playing could be considered alongside injuries.

Great analogy, but saying it now makes no sense. Saying it after Saturday nite, will make more sense.

I hope we have the opportunity to be discussing this same analogy in early December

Few would be happier than I to see LSU beat the Gumps, but I just do not see it happening so long as Satan is there. I also felt that no way LSU beats Auburn...
