But is there a rule, "TV can do what it wants," or is it something like, "whatever contract your conference has with a network, it still has to comply with these rules?"

And, of course, non-televised games...

The last non tv game LSU played was against kentucky in I think 2008 (maybe 2006), and that was probably even on tigervision.

With the SECN there are no more non-televised games.

The SEC has signed over rights to the game times to the consortium of TV broadcasters CBS, ABC/ESPN, and Fox. They set the schedule a week in advance to stagger the games for the greatest viewing. Many of us would argue the "greatest viewing" schedule as they seem to put the most interesting games all at the same time.
