Everything about the 6.5 sounds good. But it’s just the latest flavor. Seems we went through this with the 7mm-08 not that long ago. If you already own a deer rifle, chances are, a 6.5 won’t do any better than what you’ve been shooting.

Lots of this. Every time I get close to pulling the trigger on a sexy new caliber I think about the dozens of deer I have killed with my tired old boring 30-06.
