Not if your dad is 70 and still wants to hunt. The child becomes the parent and provides for like when he was young. Ive got close to the same thing 16 feet off the ground. Full stair case with a landing halfway up. Never know when it gets to the point he cant make it all the way and needs somewhere to stop and rest.

Its 10 x 10 with full size house windows and solid core door. Rubber floor with carpet over it. Wall mounted heater and a swivel high back office chair. He has plenty room to do what he wants.

Best day of his life was when he watched his grandson kill his first deer out of it while his 2 other grandsons and son where all there together.

No such thing as excessive when it comes to hunting with kids or parents.
