Russell Shepard is in the NFL still, not a star but a good athlete.

His career at LSU was not all american but his stats were actually good

averaged 6.88 yards per carry rushing and had 104 rushing attempts enough to have a sample size

averaged 9.74 yards per reception on 58 receptions again enough to have a sample size.

Have you guys ever thought maybe we should have gotten the ball into his hands more often.

The bottom line is Shepard played for LSU and did not live up to 5 star status but he was not a flop either.

Miles recruited him as a dual threat QB and he never played a down at that position at LSU

He stayed for 4 years
Shepard did not transfer
Shepard helped with recruiting
Shepard did not get into trouble

If every recruit LSU signed did this same thing look where we would be.
