He should have talked it out with her (the widow) even after the allegations instead of going into full attack mode. I mean, he wants to be about patriotism, this would have been a good time to take the high road but he just doesn't seem capable of doing that in any circumstance. I agree with all of this. That is why general Kelly advised him not to call.
Just like the famous situation where the mother yelled at George Bush the reality is there is no consoling a grieving mother. And whether you like it or not when you're president you are going to be perceived by that grieving mother as the person who sent their child to their death.
It's also why the commanders of the soldiers would be advised not to call. It just creates a tough situation although many Commanders probably would love to call and express sorrow to the family
You liberals really need to get out of being ate up with fricking hate long enough to use your brains.

As if you and the rest of your blood-lusting ilk would not then have stitched a narrative out of whole cloth about how inept and unfeeling your President was for not calling the families...
