Honestly, are people really debating that?

Even if the "excuse" was the election, the point still remains - people aren't tuning into the NFL at the same clip that have in the past. People are choosing to watch something else or perhaps nothing at all.

they were, but now they act as if they never did.

when you chalk it up to a bad matchup or low stakes, that's what you're saying. when you chalk it up to hurricanes and elections, that's what you're saying

but this ends those excuses. i'd like to just skip forward to the part where everyone agrees the quality sucks and the ratings suffer enough to the point the NFL fixes it...but I don't think the NFL will ever fix it.
