No they aren't, and I am a liberal and also understand how statistics work. Blacks are not killed at a higher rate than whites when involved in a police altercation. You can choose to ignore the facts that they commit more crimes, especially black males, as only 6% of the population commits more than 50% of murders. Let that sink in for a minute.

In 2016, there were 8383 arrests for murder with 4379 of those arrested being black. That is 4 times the rate of their representation in the population for both sexes. Whites are less than 1%.

Violent crimes as a whole? 38.7% committed by blacks which is more than 3 times their rate in the population. Whites committed more violent crimes overall, but at 58.4% of all crimes its at 0.8 times their population. Note this includes Hispanics with whites.

In other words, a black person by statistics is more than 3.8 times more likely to commit that crime than a white person.

Now despite that to date in 2017, 782 people have been killed by police so far with 378 of those (50.3%) being white. 183 Blacks have been killed (24.3%). Seeing as blacks are arrested for 28.3% of crimes, they are killed roughly equal to their crime rate.

Hispanic and White are not separated based on the FBI crime stats, so if you include both, they were killed in 528/752 police fatalities (70.2%) with them being responsible for 68.9% of crimes, meaning they are more likely to be killed than blacks with simple statistics.

Note, this is for all crimes which ingores the face that blacks are responsible for much more of violent crime than overall crime when it comes to their proportion.

The fact is that Kap's entire stance is utter bullshite.
