Everyone outside the building has given up on the Packers, but Brett Hundley and his teammates haven’t. Their goals have stayed the same despite losing Aaron Rodgers.
“I’ve been doing this my whole life,” Hundley said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “Aaron’s a Hall of Famer, and I want to be a Hall of Famer one day. I will lead this team. We’re all going to have fun. We’re all going to go out there and play football. It’s still football at the end of the day, and our goals are still in front of us.”

Hundley spent his day off Tuesday working out and game-planning with coach Mike McCarthy. The former UCLA standout has the same skill set as Rodgers but far less experience and thus isn’t going to be asked to make adjustments at the line.
“He clearly won’t carry the responsibility into the game that Aaron Rodgers carries into it; I think that’s obvious,” McCarthy said. “I’d be an idiot if I asked him to do that. But also, I think that’s really for [all] the other young guys who are playing. We don’t ask all our younger players to do all the things that our veteran players do because they don’t have the experience.”
Hundley threw three interceptions and one touchdown Sunday after Rodgers broke his collarbone. But the Packers will tailor the offense to Hundley this week, giving him a better chance to succeed.
“We’re going to keep what we do best, and that’s playing this offense,” Hundley said. “Obviously being the starting quarterback now, just like Aaron when he was, he had a lot of choices — what he wanted to do, how he wanted to do it — and same with me. The coaches are doing a really good job with the game plan.”

It's not like he could say anything else. Why would he say "I dont think I can lead this team"?

Hopefully he can throw us three more picks

Guy has a cannon and is very mobile. Saints need to play their best to win Sunday at Lambeau.

Green bay has had a qb clover up their arse for 20 years..
I would go into this game respecting his abilities. But if our d plays like last week, reckless and awesome, I think we will be ok

Probably thinks that Hundley is just as good as Drew

Never been a better time to face the Packers. 4 - 2 will be nice

Of course he's confident. And if he wasn't, he would be saying he's confident.
Would not be surprised if he has a good game. Not a lot of tape on him. When QBs have the element of surprise they usually do well.
Honestly I'd rather face GB in 3-4 weeks than this week.

Mike McCarthy can get a backup QB ready to play - see Matt Flynn
GB has weapons all over the field. Couple that with Hundley’s mobility and we could have our hands full.

Wow. He really said all that? What an a-hole.

Hundley and Cam Jordan are both from here in the Phoenix area (Chandler, AZ). High Schol rivals but I'm not sure they ever played each other.

McCarthy is a good offensive mind and has a pretty solid history of taking backup QBs and winning games with them. So I respect what he can come up with given a weeks preparation.
Brooks, Delhomme, and Flynn are 3 that immediately pop into mind that played well against good competition.
Those game scripts mostly follow a similar tempo to what Sean did against Carolina with McCown. He knows what his guy can do and will not ask them to be what they aren't.
They will not be afraid to take shots on occasion but will design plays to mostly manage favorable down and distance. They will try to eat clock to get Drew bored/cold on the sideline, slow down the tempo, and hope for the homefield/defense to make some stops/turnovers.
As long as the Saints take care of the ball, wrap up on tackles, and the defense doesn't play zone or all out blitz giving a first time starter favorable looks and a chance to get hot...McCarthy will not be able to mask the huge disparity between a HOF QB and a career backup.
This game is really the Saints to lose. The Packers are not built to rely on a running game...so Hundley will have to throw and with that OL he cant expect to just chill in the pocket. It will be a solid dose of quick passes.
I don't think it is a good matchup for GB based on how well Lattimore/Crawley are playing right now.

I completely disagree. In terms of an "Aaron Rodgers-less" Packers team, this is the WORST time to face them.
The best time to face them would either be the week that Rodgers actually goes down, last week, because Hundley was not prepared (See 3 INTs). The next best time would be in 4-5 weeks when there is a bunch of tape to study on this raw QB and see where his weaknesses are. Instead we are likely going to see an offense that is different and tailored to what they want to do with Hundley and will have to adapt on the fly.
All I can say is I hope they don't underestimate him. Best thing we have going for us is that their OL is decimated. Hope Allen keeps cooking up weird blitzes.

Spot on. I have seen enough of these situations that the first prepared game by a QB placed in this situation is an unknown for an opposing defense. Better to face him when you have more tape on him.

We are a super blitz happy team. The way you beat a blitz is with a quick pass to the spot that the blitzer is coming from. Doing that quickly is a skill that comes with experience. I doubt he will time to make that read. All you have to do is hit him a few times and he will make alot of mistakes.
