I had my shingles hand nailed by RCI who did a great job.
But I think nail gun would have been better on the roof deck where the hammered nails splintered a ton in the attic.
I don’t know how much of that is due to having tongue and groove pine roof deck though. Seem like the nail gun would have driven the nails through cleaner.
