There is a whole spectrum of complicity here in how individuals react, of course, but for the women who actually made the Faustian bargains typical of Hollywood, I haven't read anything indicating a smidgen of remorse for making the future environment worse for others. These women were effectively shitting on all the men and women out there who were trying to play it straight, and one could make a convincing argument that feminine acquiescence in these types of situations is much more socially damaging to ordinary men than it is to ordinary women.
