UK is one of the winningest programs in NCAA basketball history. This thread could easily be "why UK's fanbase can't be like LSU?" in football.
(FYI: Florida's fanbase isn't that great. Especially when you consider just how great they were under Donovan. There routinely were empty seats in the O'Connell Center)
The Assembly Center was a madhouse in the 80's and early 90's. Students camped out on the ramps to get tickets. If you don't remember what it was like then it's probably because you weren't alive to see it. Or, you purposely just omitted that memory in this post. It can be that way again. All it takes is consistency. The fans will come.
Pre-Bertman, LSU routinely drew crowds in the dozens for baseball. If LSU basketball becomes a consistent national power the PMAC will be alive again. It's not going to happen over night. 5 NCAAT appearances in 20 years isn't going make a rabid fanbase
