Man that's no joke. She likes to hide just under the waterline at high tide. Have to swing wide around flat boat, that flat on the northwest tip likes to shuffle around. But talk about some smoked trout in the spring. Aside from fighting the crowd, that's my favorite place to fish around May. A 1 knot tide tugging at a stringer full of big trout plays hell over that key.

We've watched a couple boats that I assume didn't know the area come to a screeching halt on Flat Boat. Also watched a big ol center console attempt to run between Pitre and that small island just to the west of it. no bueno
