No, you really miss the point. People (some people obviously) do not get worked up about a President of the U.S. talking about grabbing private parts, bragging about barging into beauty contestant changing rooms, mocking a POW, or any of the crap he spews, yet, we'll be damned if an athlete dares to quietly kneel during the National Anthem? Aren't our priorities a little skewed? That was my point.
As I said, John Rocker was an Atlanta Braves' pitcher who said some politically incorrect racial things a while back, and he was skewered ... "suspend him! Kick him out the game!" Why? He threw a baseball for a living, and routinely scratched himself and spit out tobacco chaw. Why does society hang on athletes' every word and action? Same with Reggie White; he played for the Packers, he was an ordained minister, and he stated politically incorrect views about homosexuality. Again, so what?
I just don't understand why the whole country is on this tense precipice and on the edge of its seat to see if a few jocks sit or stand or kneel or stand on their head before the game. Really bizarre, in my view.
I think Mr. Trump is quite clever and did what he set out to accomplish: deflect attention from his little Russian problem.

How much are you going to melt in the very, very likely event that Mueller tells the world he doesn't have shite on Trump that can get him impeached and he's not a russian agent?
McCain on the other hand could get in trouble for his role with that stupid dossier.

There is your problem.
It today's America there are few things that are "our priority."
Few really give a sh!t about this. Take away non football fans. How many does that leave.
Then take away the football fans that don't care.
Doesn't leave that many.
The intraweb makes us all seem more in number than we really are.
