RIP JoyRAD

that really stinks...the joy is my favorite live venue in the city. easy to get to, easy to park, easy to walk to get food or drink, great sound and set-up

MG world is a let down

Had to happen, fri / sat at Joy this year was so packed it almost took away from the experience, almost. Tough to get a drink, people constantly trying to walk through the packed crowd, etc. With they would have done something with some seating so you can sort of get aligned and not have to deal with all of that.

But when some hippie dude swinging dreads in your face during the middle of that scar help slip fire double decker sandwich, it means its time to switch to a bigger venue. Wish they had made a better choice but i'm happy with the move even though the Joy is a stellar jazz fest venue.
