You definitely need to try the pork knuckle somewhere. I also really enjoyed the sausage and similar things that you will find in Budapest. There was an Easter festival going on when we were in Prague (in the Old Town Square), where we ate a lot of sausage and beer for super cheap. The trdelniks are awesome for a desert or just any time.
We had some great beers at the Kynspersky Pivovar in the Old Town area. You'll see the Pilsner Urquell everywhere and it's not bad at all.
