I do think Kaep would have gotten another job opportunity if it weren't for the kneeling and assorted comments from both him and his girlfriend (mostly the Castro and the Ravens stuff). But those comments were made and my impression is proving collusion is extremely difficult.
Have there been major cases in which collusion was suspected by a major industry with a large number of owners and a judgment ended up in the favor of the person bringing the case? It seems like a very high hurdle when you're dealing with an industry with dozens of owners.
For example, IMO Curt Flood's case was a ton easier in baseball but he was blackballed for challenging MLBs free agency/trade rules and didn't have the handicap of talking up dictators or throwing around pejoratives about the management potentially interested in hiring him. He even claimed to be directly told by baseball executives that by challenging MLB in court he was ending his career.

MLB colluded in the mid-80s to hold salaries down. Players had proof in the form of suspiciously similar contract offers. Owners paid a ton in damages, and the 1993 expansion was done in part to recoup that.
