quote:lol, right.
What if I told you we’d lose to Troy but sweep Auburn and Florida?
Still a what da frick moment... always will be.
I can understand why people say Troy was a wake up moment. But don't forget, it's the second wake up moment... some a-hole hit the snooze button. IF it is a wake up moment that lasts for several seasons and doesn't happen again say for 5 or more years, I'll take it. IF it becomes LSU football's version of a Grimm cautionary tale, where coaches says 'remember homecoming '17, you don't want to have that happen do you?', I'll take it.
To answer you OP: not acceptable. under no circumstances is losing to Ole Miss 'ok'. Not with Nutt, Miles, or any coach. It does happen. That does not mean it is acceptable.
If ever, EVER, LSU lines up with Ole Miss and expects to lose- fricking fire everybody. I do NOT mean that in jest.
quote:Depth on DL was affecting us. It's been a problem for years. Depth in other areas is affecting us, but to a lesser degree (e.g. D backfield). Unless you recruit like Bama, and no other team does over a given 3yr span, you will always have a depth problem somewhere.
So did we lose those two games because coach O and his coaching staff are incompetent. Or did we lose because key players were injured and couldn't play and because we didn't have the depth to adequately replace those injured key players thanks to coach O's predecessor.
BUT, there is plenty of incompetence to point out, not just Orgeron, but necessarily including Orgeron. Yes, Aranda gets some... D could've performed better despite DL issues. Canada gets some too. Joseph and Grimes get a fair share too as position coaches. And because in one of those games they quit AND were soft they all get a dose with a big frick you to Orgeron and in the other it's an inexcusable loss for a team with a blowout loss to an SEC foe to come out at homecoming, at home obviously, flat. You don't come out flat at home when you've been blown out recently.
