I agree, I am near the top of hate of New Orleans. It's a shithole and crumbling. There is nothing good about it anymore.
Now, on to Bourbon, not only would I NEVER let a 12 yr old walk there alone, I wouldn't walk down bourbon with my kids at any time, ever.
It's simply the trashiest place I can think of that's is adored by the "culture" loving idiots. Seriously, tell me one place in the US that is considered a tourist destination that is more run down, stinky, filthy, and more dangerous.

Not only is it a perfect trap for criminals, their breeding ground is literally a block away.

The rest of the city is a democratic rundown crumbling wasteland. The only thing holding it together is the stolen FEMA 2 billion that was used to rebuild it's underground water system, which BTW, FEMA is suing to get that money back because the system was shitty before Katrina and shouldn't fall on FEMA s dime.

Sure, there are some fantastic places in New Orleans that we all adore and the world loves. And it's great to visit about every other year while praying you don't get mugged or make a wrong turn.
I don't know where this guy works. But to not take 5 minutes to go meet your daughter at a bus stop and not have her walk alone on the worst street in LA, is a crime all on its own!

What are some of the great attractions and restaurants a person like you enjoys in Nola?
Just curious also if you've ever been to Nola and done stuff other than stumble up and down Bourbon.

You realize she was no where near the first 8 blocks of bourbon street that you are trying to describe here?
