On a field of Tigers, we honor Y.A.
A legend passed, his past was made
Adorned in gold, 25 will forever stay
A mist rises over the moss draped oaks
Gumbo and jambalaya and cochon on the roast
Brothers and sisters of the south yell Geaux
Tigers getting hungry, seeing visions of glory past
Flynn, Hester, Doucet, names of champions that will last
Forever LSU was their victory cry, bayou bengals looking to cast
Their victorious shadow, painting Death Valley as the sun sets on a passioned play
The time has come to lay claim through victory's way
Our Tigers, the real Tigers, will light cigars this day.
