That's what I figured. I'm just trying to get rid of the problem...and I'm not having any luck with the steps I have tried so far

Squirt bottle mix 2 tablespoons of Dawn concentrated dish soap and 32 oz of water.
Spray bushes, wasps and any other insect you see. All bugs will be dead in 30 seconds or less. Bonus is wasps cannot fly with the soap on wings. They just fall to the ground.
Plant survives. You profit with extra free time. Respray as needed until you thin the herd enough.
