This. It worries me because we have all these "deals" or treaties or whatever that were negotiated bi-laterally with other superpowers, but then we back out when a new admin takes over. Who in the world is ever going to trust us to make deals in the future? And why would they if they think we'll just re neg on them later?

By that logic, this insulates us somewhat from bad (for us) agreements.

Don't enter into a patently bad deal for the U.S. if you don't want a different admin to walk it back.
