Why do threads like these keep coming up. Quinn is a really good player. When he was at LSU,
1. He was young, and needed time to develop.
2. This offense was not the correct fit for him. Our staff would have never developed him properly. Sad fact but true.

come on guys leave the kid alone. He dropped two balls in the bama game and then gets in miles dog house. get your facts straight. he didn't drop balls all year long. he could have stuck around and maybe got better for sure, but as someone said smu is a better fit and he's doing good. just be happy for the kid. people on here bash these dang kids so much.

You’re answer to Quinn and Diarse being unused talent is Les Miles. It’s really that simple.

Yes, it was those drops in the '14 Bama game that ended Quinn's LSU career. Once you got in Miles' doghouse for on-field mistakes, you never truly got out, and that was especially true toward the latter part of Miles' tenure. Just 2 weeks earlier, Quinn was crowdsurfing after the win over #3 Ole Miss. He was just a freshman.

And yes to the OP, we could certainly use Quinn and Diarse at this point. Les and Cam really bungled their careers.

I say this every year - run the entire damn offense against every team! Perfect it in game situations, so it's fine-tuned for the better opponents.

This entire "don't give future opponents film on our offense" is just nonsense. As long as our offensive play-calling is unpredictable, it doesn't matter what's on film. Hell, there's even an argument that putting more on film gives our opponents more to have to gameplan for.

Don't overthink things. Just work on what we do and let our opponents worry about trying to stop it.

heard a Texas High School coach from Lake Travis say this about 13 years ago, said he didnt care what was on film, said it wasnt what you did it was how you did it.. His name was Chad Morris..

only positive about this year is the west is so bad, sumlins job might be saved and Morris wont go to TAMU.. if he were to go there, shite, look out... that man is good. Sharp, creative mind, and diciplined.. he has a bright future..

My updated coaching list..

1 DJ Durkin
2 Chad Morris/Brohm
3 Gundy
4 Fleck

Quinn had his chance here and blew it.

He did an interview where he blamed his size. He said LSU didn’t want him anymore when they recruited 6’3 guys or bigger.

That’s a complete cop out. He lost the faith of his coaches because he wasn’t performing and had to many drops. Nobody gave one shite about OBJ’s or Landry’s size, because those boys were physical and performed. Quinn did not.

There is some truth to what he says. Miles went on record in saying they were going "bigger:
