Im transferring from wink to smart things and am wondering as i pair switches to smart things will they unpair from wink?
I want to know because i want to see if i need to do this all in one go. it is going to take some time to transfer all my switches.

No, you will need to remove them from Wink as well as exclude the switch, then add to new hub
Eta: why are you switching?

The more I'm reading the more I'm liking the custumiation of the smartthings as the wink. Pluss I trust a huge company to continue work on the product over a sucky British rapper.

Strange, I just had someone tell me they switched from smartthings to wink2 because they didn't like some of the limitations with smartthings. Specifically it related to smart locks if I remember correctly.
I thought it was interesting that wink has started supporting some of the smartthings sensors recently.

quote:well if you cant add/delete user codes to schlage locks, it might be an issue. This has been a feature on wink forever.

You can do it. I just did a bit of research. It's not natively baked in to smartthings but smartthings allows community help and it looks like someone has taken it upon themselves to add this functionality.
I've never used it because i don't have a ton of need to constantly changing my codes but you can give it a try and let me know how reliable it is.
