yeah, soil pH is too low to grow good vinifera in most of the south till you get to central texas. but i've had some damn good hybrid wine.

used to work at a wine store in college and one lady would order biltmore wines through us. never tried it, but she swore by em.

I've had some pretty good Arizona wines. Never knew they had much of a wine industry.
