re: SNL: Gal Godot and Sam Smith

Concepts were good. Writing was ok.
I felt the Amazonian sketch had a good idea but poor execution.
O.j. skit was fine... but poor ending.
Safelite repair had a good twist but lacked a great straight turn
Sahara mirage was just ok.
The quick E entertainment was good.
Weekend update was more bitter than funny.
The Jason aldean opening was very good. Although they turned the microphone down and delayed sound, just in case.
The last savior video game sketch was ok.
Gal was a good safe host. She's a good actress and played her part.
I felt they made a point not to attack Trump on this one to appease.
Che doesn't give a shite and will speak his mind..
And I think the young guy that did the weekend update spot on depression is trying to channel that norm mcdonald type "frick you". It's not the best type of comedy. But it's honest.
Overall grade. C+
