Another of the what could have beens the coaching search was between Rein and Bobby Bowden. Bowden said no and signed a new deal with FSU.

To me the quote that says it all was by Woody Hayes saying "Out of all his assistants he thought Rein would have the most success."

Rein was 34

I think the Bo Rein tragedy is a very sad chapter in LSU lore.

I was in 8th grade when he died. It would've been very interesting to see how his tenure went. I remember at the time he was viewed as what we would call today a "home run hire".
