Would you take Richard Jefferson?

It appears that the Cavs prefer to trade him, but most likely would have to end up outright releasing him. Assuming we get the DPE after a few games or if we can maybe move someone else would you take him? I like smart veterans on this team.

I thought he was done a decade ago, when he was with the Spurs. It blows my mind that he is still in the league. I don't mind an older PG, C or situational shooter. But wing players should be explosive and athletic. Jefferson just isn't anymore..

The first question to ask is if 37 year old Richard Jefferson, who shot 33% from 3 last year and has a PER under 10 the last 2 years, is better than Darius Miller 2.0. If the answer is no then he wouldn't get enough minutes to justify cutting Crawford, which is the obvious move to make if you wanted to add RJ.

I thought he only came back for the Cavs. I would bet he would simply retire if they released him (unless the Warriors, Thunder, Spurs or Rockets came calling).

They are going to release him.
If he will pay to be on squad and sit on bench he can dress out. If he expects to play forget it.
He would expect real money too.
