Other than the Dolphins 1st drive of 81 yards, & our run blocking...we had a great game. Some takeaways that I got from the game:

-We actually won a game with Brees being a game manager & leaning on our defense.

-Ingram & Kamara should be our 1-2 punch.

-Mike Thomas catches the ball with guys draped all over him. He has to have some of the strongest hands I've ever seen in a WR. Legit #1 WR.

-Ginn was a smart and cheap F.A. pickup. He produces in the passing game, running game, & has been solid on punt returns(he almost broke one against Miami). Getting Snead back should also make things easier for Ginn in the passing game.

-Fleener is playing like a complete TE so far this year. Catching the ball in traffic & doing a great job blocking.

-OL was good in pass protection, but our 3 RB's averaged 3.2 ypc as a whole. Miami does have a pretty good D-Line though.

-Rankins had a good game according to PFF. Got pressure on the QB, & took on double teams against the run. The stats won't show it, but he had a good game. He gets doubled all the time without Fairley next to him. If you have the game on your DVR, check out the play in the 3rd Qtr at the 7:47 mark. He gets doubled on a run play & stands up both O-Linemen...causing the RB to run into the OL. Okafor cleans it up.

-Okafor is our most underrated F.A. pickup so far this year. He's been legit against the run all year & gets pressure on occasion.

-Klein was his usual self. There was no dropoff in production after Robertson replaced Anzalone. Robertson might have even played better(their running game went to shite after Robertson got in the game).

-Lattimore & Crawley were the players of the game for us. Quick slants were about all the Dolphins could complete against either of them. It's not like they were going up against scrubs either(Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, & Julius Thomas at TE).

-Vaccaro & Bell closed on the ball & tackled well. Marcus Williams played a good centerfield for the 2nd week in a row(barely missed an INT).

I think I have developed a man crush on Lattimore...as a Saints fan, I guess I was conditioned that a CB was always 5 yards away from the receiver making the play. He is ALWAYS on top of his guy. STUD

Good breakdown G.

I think the Saints using 3-4 safeties and playing more man coverage has worked out the last two games. I am sure we will play more corners though when we play the likes of Atlanta and Detroit.
