There are much easier ways to go about killing a bunch of people to go out with you.

The guy went out of his way to maximize carnage, really, really out of his way.

Maybe all the other shooters were just dumb and this guy was the first one who was actually smart, because he seems to have taken a lot of steps that took months or weeks of planning and prep.

- Obtain automatic weapons, or obtain semi-auto weapons and modify to fire as automatics

- Zero the weapons.

- Obtain 2 stands in order to alternate to prevent barrel degredation

- Locate a concert, outdoors and close to the strip.

- Reserve room(s) with best sightlines for said concert.

- Carry up almost a dozen weapons into the room in disguised cases over a period of nearly a week.

- Build two different prone firing positions in the hotel room.

- Wait for concert and break windows.

- Commence firing.

- Kill self after an hour.
