I cut the cord, and have no cable service to my house besides internet. I have a fire tv, and every single app i have requires a provider login to watch shows. If you don't have one, on most you can only watch limited amounts of stuff. Very limited. So it's not just CBS.

The difference is if you use a login for the ABC, NBC, Fox, TNT, TBS, FX, Disney, NickJr, etc app, you get to watch all their shows. even if you don't have a cable subscription to log in, you can still watch some shows on these apps.
CBS doesn't care if you have a cable login, if you want to use their app, $5.99/month.

It is just CBS, well, and HBO and other PREMIUM channels.

Right. Well HBO go works as long as you have that through cable. But yeah they have a service that you can subscribe to. I am suprised CBS hasn't made an app to watch their shows like NBC and ABC does.
