I'm not saying the father never gets custody, it happens more than people think.

Dad usually works more, mom usually has a job to allow her to pick up the children, bring them to practices, etc.

I would agree with the another poster on here, that the way child support and spousal support are calculated should be revisited. Louisiana spousal support can be significant if parties tend to keep down on expenses and make decent money, and its significant for that reason only.
