I think genetics play a part in intelligence and academic success. I think environment plays a much bigger part. Parents with a high IQ are likely going to maintain an environment for their kids that helps them succeed. Parents with a lower IQ will have a tougher time doing that. Correlation without causation. The genetics aren't necessarily the cause, but there is a correlation.

Adoption studies prove you're wrong. You can put a newborn infant of parents with 76 IQ immediately into the home of 2 married doctors. The kid is going to grow up a total moron.

No you are wrong. Even when adopted by upper class whites who have biological children and have equal resources, blacks lag behind the lowest economic group of white children.
