I have seen a lot of remarks about a national conversation on the subject of police and black shootings. Eric Reid and Derrius Guice have commented on the subject from lsu so yes let's converse. In a ten year period 2004 to 2013 548 police were feloniously killed. Blacks accounted for 44 percent of the murders and a combination of whites, Hispanic and Arabic descended people killed 53 percent. Blacks murdered around four times their number by percent of their population. If the stats had broken out the Hispanic, white, Arab, etc the black murder rate would be higher than any other total even though they are less in numbers by population than all but the Arab sample. The conversation now moves to the number of blacks killed by police. Take into consideration that these are total and don't differentiate between good and bad shoots. In the year 2016 police killed 963 people. 466 were white and 233 black. Blacks were 24 percent of the people killed or two times their representative population. To gain more insight we will also look at non police involved murder rates 2014. DOJ stats show that blacks and Hispanics account for just shy of 73 percent of all murder homicides. With this information in hand we can ask questions. Are black people killed by police at a higher number than percentage of population. Yes. Do we know how many are justified? No. Do blacks kill police at higher number than percentage of population? Yes four times more. Not involving police killed do blacks kill at greater numbers. Yes, combined with Hispanics in the DOJ stats 73 percent of all murders total. These are the numbers and will let you make up your mind as to your personal conclusion. I have more information if needed by anyone.

They don't want a conversation on this topic. They want to pretend there's an epidemic of police murdering black people.

Ok, so what needs to be done to prevent the inequalities you've (along with several others) pointed out?

Now, on to racial inequality, which I think you're trying to deny. First of all, I'll agree that the attack on our police state is not completely justified. But, living in the South, I've personally witnessed unjust profiling. Along those lines, I've also witnessed black fear of police. Fear turns into anger before long. Then, you get what we have today. Again, it's not fully justified, but to give any social movement legs to walk, it'll run.

Back to being in the South and uneducated teamed with underpaid police officers. Throw in many misinterpretations and you get hate.

There's a middle ground that we can all stand on if we grow to empathize. That is key to getting through this. Not to invalidate, as you are doing.

Blacks are involved in crime more than their population percentage would suggest. This fact causes the police to frequently come into contact with blacks, so the black community feels that the police are targeting them unfairly.

The root cause is excessive criminal involvement by one demographic. This is the problem that must be addressed in order to improve the situation. If you don't recognize the problem you cannot fix it

The idea that they want a national conversation is not true, unless you consider a one-sided discussion to be a national conversation.

This is the case for nearly every progressive issue.

It isn't a "conversation" that they want. It is a one way discussion.

No one cares that Alton Sterling was a convicted felon with an illegal pistol that WENT OFF wrestling a cop resisting arrest either.

They "murdered" him

I just demand honesty in life. I want the black community and their white liberal masters to admit that black lives only matter when the killer is white.

Blacks killing blacks = OK.
Whites killing blacks = Not OK.

Just admit it.

Pray tell, what exactly is a "national conversation?" It sounds like a couple of buzz words people use to make them feel like they are doing something.

I have a feeling that the idea of a national conversation to the left is something along the lines of "Shut up and just do what we say."
