These are not ADA service animals. I have had multiple patients request that there recently acquired dog from the local shelter with no training or certificate of any sort be qualified by me as an emotional support animal because the snowflakes cant figure out how to cope in the real world.

Exactly. I'm not saying the lady was right here, but why should the majority have to submit to the individual "issues" of a few?

Why should I have to sit next to some a-hole who needs a dog, duck, cat, pig so they can "feel comfortable" flying on a plane?

There should be a small number select flights for people who need "emotional support animals". Like a goddamn flying Noah's ark. If you need a duck to sit next to you on a plane, that's fine. But you can pay a premium to have that be the case and fly with other weirdos so you don't bother normal people who just want to ride on a plane instead of an airborne petting zoo.
