I don't think he needs to be fired. If we take him at his word he believed he was mitigating the damage. Just went about it in a misguided way.
Besides, Steeler ownership is probably the most left leaning in the NFL. tomlin is safe.

Tomlin handled this bullshite the best of all the coaches if you ask me.
Stay as far away from it as possible. He only cares about his team winning games. That's the kind of coach I would rather have.
