Should Racist coach Mike Tomlin be fired?

The racist coach created a hostile work environment demanding players disrepect the men and women who serve and protect the USA. By demanding that his players not go onto the field to salute the flag, he totally disrespected the brave men and women who died fighting for our freedom. That is disgraceful. Should be fired, most Steeler fans are demanding it at this point.

I don't think he needs to be fired. If we take him at his word he believed he was mitigating the damage. Just went about it in a misguided way.
Besides, Steeler ownership is probably the most left leaning in the NFL. tomlin is safe.

I have called myself a Steelers fan. I like Mike Tomlin. I understand what he was trying to do. The situation has spiraled out of control of the powers that be in the NFL.
Because they did not act early and swiftly as they usually do (see their response to the Cowboys' proposal to honor their fallen officers) - so they've taken a side. If anything, Tomlin was trying to split the baby - my best guess is that a majority of Steelers players would have stood, but a significant number would have kneeled or sat. Tomlin was trying to protect the team, IMHO, by keeping them out of it.
But, the time of staying out of it is past. They have to take a side. You're either respectful of the flag, the anthem and our traditions, or you aren't.

He made the huge majority not participate to appease the whiny bitches. His statement about "doing it together as a team" is grade A bologna.
If doing it as a team was important, he should have explained that to the very few that were protesting, not the ones that didn't want any part of this crap.

In reality to smooth things over after this storm with the teams fans he is gone. Thing is the commissioner should be responsible for stopping this.
All the commissioner had to do was say the NFL is not your platform to push your agenda.

the vet who went out and stood for the anthem will not be on the team for long, that is for sure, you could see how mad tomlin was that he didnt go along with their racist protest
