If you want to run phone free it is my understanding you must have the content downloaded onto your watch. I do not know if there is a way to do that with Apple Music. It would probably have to be done with a personal library.

Apple Watch Yes or No? by LSU5508

So I just got the Apple Watch Series 3 (non-LTE) last night. I know it's a bit of nostalgia as it's a new gadget but I really love it. Even compared to the Samsung Gear S3. The Apple watch is snappy and if you own an iPhone and workout, it's the way to go.

I put my watch on the charger last night before gym this AM and when I woke up, I paired my headphones to the watch and boom, my playlist was instantly on my watch. I did NOT even have to download the songs to my phone.

Can you do that with the Samsung S3? Yes, but it was a bit more convoluted than that and not fun to do.

I'm really REALLY digging the Apple Watch and it's snappiness compared to my wifes Series 1 is much better. I'll be upgrading hers for Christmas.
