So one thing I'm still curious about is how the iPhone and apple watch work together. So I stream all my music from my phone using Apple Music. Whether it be a radio station or my content. however, I don't actually have any of the songs downloaded to my phones hard drive.

Q: If I put a playlist from my Apple Music on my phone to my Apple Watch, do the songs have to be downloaded onto my phone first? Or can they simply be "in my library"?

Hope that makes sense...

If you want to run phone free it is my understanding you must have the content downloaded onto your watch. I do not know if there is a way to do that with Apple Music. It would probably have to be done with a personal library.
