Yes you can add a playlist but for me having a range of more than 15 feet is important. Like you I don’t care about streaming music or using the watch as a phone. However there are many times throughout the day where my phone is either left in my office or out of range and it would be helpful if I had access to messages, calls and emails. I tested gps only for the last 10 days in the yard and after 10 feet the watch would drop. This was an issue for me which led me to returning and purchasing lte. Also being able to go for a run or outside with a loaded playlist and access to a phone and messages is well worth the 70 bucks.

I hear ya. Just know you need a data plan for the watch and that’s an extra 10$ a month. Also, I think I just am craving the Apple Watch and the LTE version isn’t getting annoyed shipments until Oct 27th.
I’m impatient!!
