We used to run the stupid WR screens all the time. I hated that crap.

Although it doesn't work for everyone, our most successful WR of all time (Josh Reed) killed teams on bubble screens - especially Bama.

Not sure but they best work it in before Auburn and Bama.

Jimbo was great at screens. Bubbles to josh reed. Tunnel screens to skyler green. Big daddy bowe. Doucet. Crowton called middle screens. Heck I'd just take normal rb screens right now.

I assume you ask this because of the 2 that Brennan threw agains Syracuse, correct?

We tried screens a few times with Jennings and Harris. Jennings would usually loft it 10ft over the guy's head, and Harris would throw it about 100mph at him. Brennan seems to have the right touch, though.

We ran a ton of successful slip screens and bubble screens with Skyler Green too.

I can't believe these guys can't recall all the bitching about Harris screen throws.
LSU hasn't been all that good at selling the screens with the blocking either.

Yeah we already don't block anyone, but this would be by design...

Don't know why you're being sarcastic..
We ran one against Wisconsin last year (when our Oline was apparently a lot better). I think 1 Oline man completely whiffed.. One pretty much just jumped on the ground immediately after the snap, and another ran to the other side of the field.
Stopped for a gain of 1 I think, when if executed properly, it would've gone a long long way.

Can't really recall Mettenberger doing it though either.

Brandon Harris tried it a couple of times and it ended up in the dirt. We haven't seen it since.

Our offensive line looks like it's blocking for a screen nearly every drop back

Yep. That's why we should throw it about every tenth play.

To be honest, I think Cameron forgot that the RB and TEs were eligible receivers.

Seemed like they worked almost every time in 2007.
