The real point is that one does not excuse the other. If your child got pulled over with weed and a jumpy cop shot him i doubt the rampant violence in our streets would comfort you sir.

It is a factor that you cannot just discount. Are you going to be more trigger happy responding to a call reporting a delusional man waving a gun around or on a couple kids smoking pot?
