Its a show of disrespect. You know it to.
If kneeling isnt a sign of disrespect to the anthem and flag, then explain the standing to the UK national anthem.

What I know is...many people died to protect the freedom to protest in this country...and freedom lets people like you salute the flag, burn the flag or you know take a knee during the nation anthem.
