Area between Florida and Old Hammond.

Already seeing bars on windows. That's usually the first stage.

Next step is tables/chairs and/or sofas on the lawn.

Are we in the closing months for productive citizens in that area?

I just heard a radio commercial, something about how more and more people are choosing to call BR home. Laughed my arse off.

I noticed while watching coverage of Puerto Rico last night how in the "nicer neighborhoods" the structures still standing had barred windows.

North Sherwood Forest has been ghetto and white trash since the mid-90s.

The rest of Sherwood Forest is catching up.

And Course Boulevard isn't too far behind.

My grandparents moved off sherwood when it was new and nice. That was circa 1965.

My mom went to brodmore high school and she had a black friend (one of the few blacks enrolled).

Wow. Things change

Had some cousins that lived there in the 70's and 80's. Seemed like a great neighborhood back then. Shame it has gone to shite. The flooding last year probably drove some of last good families out.

You would be shocked at the number of flooded homes that were bought up to be remodeled and put into the section 8 program. Hundreds of them

That area already went bad years ago, and it's not getting any worse. The Vietnamese and Korean communities stepped in and stabilized it.
