I'm not sure what we as fans were really expecting this year. Sure we have talented players. We absolutely have a good staff.

We also have an extremely young group of players who simply choked against a strong MSU team at their house.

Most of us knew that this would be a year for developing the future. We are playing freshmen for a reason. This is not the end of the world. This is how young men are hardened.

We will now get to see how this program responds to a very hard lesson to swallow. If they aren't up for the challenge, then so be it. Who the hell wants to win every game anyway. There is absolutely no fun in that.

Shhhh the LSU fanbase is becoming self aware. Many were not privvy to the fact that weve been mediocre for 5 years now.

this is it in a nutshell. some fans are just not realistic about the roster coming in. they expect every freshman to just step in and be as good as a junior. well, it doesn't work that way. sure, you could "work in a freshman" now and again but when you have to depend on them you will get plenty of mistakes and the upclassmen will try to overcome that and make more mistakes too. EVERYTHING went wrong last Saturday. well, we have 9 games left and that won't happen every game.

this team will improve, esp if injuries stop and our injured DL returns.
