Comedian Jimmy Kimmel consulted with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer's (D-N.Y.) office on details surrounding the health-care debate, The Daily Beast reported Friday.

Schumer's office "provided technical guidance and info about the bill, as well as stats from various think tanks and experts on the effects of" the legislation, a source told the outlet.

Kimmel launched a series of attacks this week on the Senate GOP's latest ObamaCare repeal and replace measure, sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.).

quote:

Kimmel delved into the ObamaCare repeal and replace debate last May when he revealed his son was born with a heart defect and needed open-heart surgery.

Cassidy in turn promised he would only support a bill that passed "the Jimmy Kimmel test" – one that protected patients with pre-existing conditions from loss of coverage or skyrocketing out-of-pocket costs.

However, Kimmel slammed Cassidy on Tuesday, saying he had failed the test with his latest ObamaCare repeal measure.

“Not only did Bill Cassidy fail the Jimmy Kimmel test, he failed the Bill Cassidy test. He failed his own test," Kimmel said.

Cassidy responded, saying Kimmel did not understand the bill, to which Kimmel argued that Cassidy did not understand the bill.

"Oh I get it, I don't understand it because I'm a talk show host," Kimmel said during his opening monologue late Wednesday. "Then help me out. Which part don't I understand? The part where you cut $243 billion dollars from federal health-care assistance? Am I not understanding the part where states would let insurance companies price you out of coverage for having pre-existing conditions?" he said.

Kimmel praised Sen. John McCain on Friday after the Arizona Republican announced he would be voting against the repeal bill, potentially dooming the legislation.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that old man McCain soiled his diapers seeing Kimmel trash Cassidy and he just couldn't bear that happening to him. He always craves approval from the leftist media and hollywood as well.

By the way, here's a good column about how Cassidy's appearance on Kimmel's show was eventually going to be a mistake that he would regret. LINK

No republican/conservative should ever considering giving hacks like Jimmy Kimmel a moment of their time from here on out. They never will operate in good faith.

This type of secret collusion should be illegal. If he's working with an elected official there should be disclaimers.

Otherwise it's like a under the table campaign contribution.

If Kimmel is so fricking confident he knows what he's talking about on healthcare, he really needs to invite Ben Shapiro on to discuss it. Very coincidentally, Shapiro's daughter has the same heart condition Kimmel's son does and was operated on by the exact same doctor in the exact same hospital. By Kimmel's own self proclaimed credentials, Shapiro is exactly equally viable in his own views of healthcare. If Kimmel really wants to put his money where his mouth is, that is who he invites on to discuss it.

What I'm getting from this is Jimmy Kimmel is better at executing his agenda in the Senate than Trump, and he didn't even have to leave broadcast TV to do it.

Sickening. Schumer and the dems are horrified of losing OCare. That says a lot, as they don't give a rats arse about people or especially the middle class.

I agree that McCain was influenced. He is a democrat. McCain is deleting all negative replies on his twitter. (And there were no ignorant ones about his health) Just people wondering why he campaigned on gutting OCare; and seems to be voting like Schumer tells him. Only democrats saying they are in tears like they will die without the beast- OCare tweets remain.

Jimmy Kimmel needs to STFU & be glad his baby was able to get the healthcare he needed. He needs to STFU & realize that people with single payer/socialized medicine don't have the "RIGHT" to mortgage their house in order to pay for their health or hock some jewelry for their child's sake. No, some parents have to just watch their kid die b/c Big Daddy Gov't (which Kimmel wants here) can deny parents that "RIGHT". Jimmy Kimmel needs to STFU & sit down & listen to the experience of people like Charlie Gard's parents.

Do I wanna lose my house in order to pay for healthcare? Hell no. Do I want the right to do so if I need to? Hell yes!!!!

Well, I think House of Cards is a documentary, so my question is, what is Disney/ABC getting out of this from the Democrats? Preferential FCC treatment to stem the cord-cutting and ESPN losses?

Or is the Democrat Party bribing Kimmel directly to protect Hussein's legacy, and keep Obamacare from being repealed (the ripple effects of which would show taxpayers that they were getting screwed, ruining the Democrats and their power grab to control our health)?

TV senator Kimmel's show is a night time extension of the View and he's just a political shill for the network.

Really? I mean really? McCain was going to support this bill until he stayed up late one night and saw Jimmy Kimmel railing against it.
