That's actually false. $2.00 minimum. The reason they do it is because it's a shortcut in the interstate system. If it weren't for that toll, then the DFW airport access would be the worst in the country.

You can get on the service road without passing through the booths.

It is like an access road for a freeway.

This. Back when I lived there that's how I used it too, it's only $2 and traffic was much lighter.

Because of people like one of my old gf's dad who cut through the airport when driving from Plano to the Ranger games in Arlington.
