I won custody of both my kids which speaks volumes since I'm a man but in good faith I agreed to the kids living 7 days at my house and 7 days at my ex's house. Things were pretty smooth for the first couple of years. Eventually I remarried and my ex wife caused so much drama and manipulated my daughter to the point that we basically don't speak anymore. I pretty much pay for everything concerning the kids albeit my ex and I earn similar type salaries. My ex filed a lawsuit against me and I'm not really even sure what she sued me for. I spent 5K to defend myself and the week before we go to court my ex dropped the case. There needs to be a law that requires people to pay your legal fees and time for frivolous lawsuits.

Bottom line OP divorce sucks for the kids but the older I get the more I realize that there sure are a lot of crazy people out there in this world. There is nothing worse than a scorned butt hurt woman and divorce can bring out the worst in people.
