Makes a lot of sense. Goes to show you its more of a "rebuild" type of job for O than people want to admit. I see people often say that the reason they hired O was to avoid rebuilding but how do you explain these numbers? How can you not say we have a lot of rebuilding before we can really consider us a contender again?

O wasn't hired to rebuild. He was hired to maintain. It's how everyone justified hiring a proven loser. Now it appears their CEO will actually have to be a real head coach and shits getting real.

How does one build a championship program when his only marketable quality is "I learned my lesson last time" and "I'll hire really good coordinators and I won't touch anything"??

No fricking reason Mississippi State beats us by 30, we look uninspired, and we played sloppy as hell for three games.

You can throw all the excuses you want, but sloppy, uninspired team play doesn't have shite to do with depth.

O has 2 years to "rebuild". The first year he will be on a "rebuild" watch, anything less than a 6-6 record will put him in a hot seat next year. Less than 8-4 on second year will see an exit door shoved up his arse after next year.

Some of the numbers were caused by O. Also, why would O be your choice to actually rebuild?

In my opinion, the huge melt is a result of misguided expectations.. all offseason people said ‘yes we’re fine because we have (insert star player here)’, but never took into account our depth issues.. yea we knew about the o line’s problems, but not once during the off-season did anyone mention the lack of depth at LB, d-line, etc....

May take some time, but we will be fine eventually
